Hello,
My name is Douaa Mostafa, and I have just graduated from a medical science Bachelor's program at Western University. I have immigrated to Canada 5 years ago, and have enjoyed volunteering in many places in and outside my neighbourhood and university. In my free time, I love to read, cook, color, and listen to music. One of my biggest interests is teaching - whether it is academic subjects (biology and chemistry are my favourites!), sports, or even cooking. Because I am fascinated by Habitat for Humanity's mission, I decided that I could contribute. I thought about starting a new tutoring organization with my collagues (we named the organization MG tutors), to tutor and help out different high school students in various subjects. This could include explaining concepts, helping out in their assignments, homeworks, or preparing them for a test or quiz. My tutor collagues are university students from different fields (business, engineering, medical sciences, and health sciences) and all love teaching subjects that they are good at. Any proceeds we earn from a tutoring session would be fundraised to Habitat for Humanity. The organization started in June, and we do our best to reach our fundraising goal. We will continue the organization in the fall/winter semester of 2016/17.
